A few weeks ago, we welcomed back a patient who had travelled from Dublin to M\u00e1laga for embryo donation treatment at URE Centro Gutenberg. This time, she wasn\u2019t coming for a consultation or to start a new course of treatment. She was coming to introduce us to Jack. Seeing a family return with their baby is always one of the most wonderful moments we experience at the clinic. After suffering a perinatal loss of her daughter late in her pregnancy and enduring a difficult journey marked by recurrent <a href=\"https:\/\/urecentrogutenberg.es\/en\/recurrent-pregnancy-loss-what-to-do-when-spontaneous-miscarriage-becomes-a-pattern\/\"><strong>miscarriages<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/urecentrogutenberg.es\/en\/endometriosis-a-silent-disease-that-can-affect-fertility\/\"><strong>endometriosis<\/strong><\/a>, she decided to keep looking for a way to start a family. After researching different clinics and assisted reproduction treatments, she chose URE Centro Gutenberg to begin embryo donation treatment. From her <a href=\"https:\/\/urecentrogutenberg.es\/en\/what-is-first-fertility-consultation\/\"><strong>very first consultation with Dr S\u00e1nchez<\/strong><\/a>, she felt the confidence and peace of mind she needed to take such an important step. It can be an alternative for women and couples who, for various reasons, are unable to use their own gametes or who have undergone previous treatments without achieving pregnancy. Each case must be assessed on an individual basis to determine the most appropriate treatment, taking into account the patient\u2019s medical history, age and personal circumstances.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"An_initial_attempt_that_did_not_yield_the_expected_result\"><\/span>An initial attempt that did not yield the expected result<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In February 2024, she underwent her first embryo donation treatment, but the result was negative. As is often the case with assisted reproduction, she did not become pregnant on the first attempt. It was a difficult time, but after a while she decided to try again. In October of that same year, she returned to M\u00e1laga for a <a href=\"https:\/\/urecentrogutenberg.es\/en\/moments-in-assisted-reproduction-the-embryo-transfer\/\"><strong>second embryo transfer<\/strong><\/a>, and this time the pregnancy test was positive. After so many years of waiting for that moment, she could finally begin to imagine that her dream was within reach.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jacks_Birth\"><\/span>Jack\u2019s Birth<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Her pregnancy continued under the care of her medical team in Ireland, whilst Dr S\u00e1nchez and our team remained in contact with her to support her and answer any questions she might have during the first few weeks. In June 2025, at 37 weeks\u2019 gestation, Jack was born. A healthy and long-awaited baby. For his mother, that birth meant much more than simply the arrival of a child. Jack wandered through our corridors, bringing smiles, hugs and a great deal of emotion to those who had supported his mother during her treatment. These reunions are one of the greatest gifts we receive. Because during assisted reproduction treatment, so much is shared: important decisions, doubts, phone calls, news and moments of uncertainty. After so many years of waiting to become a mother, today she was able to proudly celebrate every little moment with her son. And she wanted to share that happiness with the team that had supported her throughout her embryo donation treatment. <em><strong>\u201cDreams really do come true\u201d <\/strong><\/em>In her testimonial, she wanted to express her gratitude for the support she received throughout the process:<em><strong> \u201cWithout the help and care of this clinic, I would never have been able to see my dream come true.
