Embryoscope
What is the EmbryoScope?
The EmbryoScope is a new incubator that allows us to observe embryo development from the moment of fertilisation until transfer to the uterus. Observation is made possible with the help of a time lapse system which takes pictures of all the embryos in the incubator.
With this revolutionary technique we obtain a huge amount of information about embryo development, including the detection of possible abnormalities in cell division and development. Also, we optimise embryo culture conditions and the embryo selection process as the embryos don’t need to be moved or handled during observation. All of these factors increase the chances of achieving a pregnancy.
Advantages of the EmbryoScope Culture
Optimises embryo selection by allowing us to evaluate cell division and morphological parameters
Increases the likelihood of implantation by ten to fifteen percent
Improves culture conditions as we don’t need to handle the embryos outside of the incubator
What patients can benefit from the EmbryoScope?
Although the EmbryoScope can be used for any patient undergoing In Vitro Fertilisation treatment, the likelihood of improved results is greater in the following cases:
Patients with a high number of embryos (we can select the best embryo as we have more information)
Patients with previous unsuccessful In Vitro Fertilisation cycles
